Yes, you can lose weight by going to sleep. For this to work, you should go to bed early, have adequate good quality sleep, and wake up early. Sleep is important for weight loss because at least 8 hours of good quality sleep per day for adults increases your body’s ability to metabolize carbohydrates. This results in reduced blood glucose levels, weight loss, and low risk of diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
